Up-to-date MaintenanceBoth kilims and carpets can be vacuumed.
How do I clean a stain on my carpet?
- With vegetables dies, generously wet the area before washing it. Perrier is particularly effective as an immediate treatment to stains.
- With chemical dyes, use a moist rag without fully wetting the spot to avoid any risk of colour bleeding.
RestorationRestore your carpet or kilim at TRIFF. Price quotes are free.

How to keep your Kilims secure on the floor? The word kilim is used to denote a flat woven rug. Sometimes the suppleness of a kilim’s weave can lead to slipping or folding on surfaces, especially hard surfaces such as parquet or tiles. To prevent slipping and folding use an anti-slip material placed between the carpet and the floor. It requires no adhesive and also prevents friction damage to the carpet.
CleaningHave your carpets cleaned at TRIFF. Leave your carpets with us. (We do not offer house calls for cleaning). We have one drop off day for cleaning - Tuesday morning. Carpets are returned one week later.
If you cannot have them cleaned with us, some points to remember:
- With natural dyes wash the carpet in water.
- With chemical dyes have a professional service wash the carpet to avoid any risk of colour bleeding. Dry cleaning is preferable.
