When Sofrehs are an expression of freedom
The Sofrehs weaved by nomadic women, were used as tablecloth or to wrap the bread. Because of their use, these weavings had a strong significance.
Most of them are very classical with dark colors and double frames. But some women, without any art culture, were like artists and created very abstract and beautiful Sofrehs.
The most surprising were weaved by women from Afshar and Kamoo tribes, in Iran. The Sofrehs exhibited here are the result of several years of collection, the Galerie TRIFF having chosen only the most beautiful and surprising.
